The No Claim Discount (NCD) is a reward scheme received by motor policy holders for not making a claim during the preceding 12 months.


How much of No Claim Discount (NCD) am I entitled to?

Consumers are eligible for NCD ranging from 0% to 55% of the premium payable depending on the type of vehicle, coverage and number of years claim not intimated. For a private car, the scale of NCD ranges from 0% to 55% as provided in the policy/certificate whereas for motorcycles and commercial vehicles, it ranges from 0% to 25%.

This form of policy is designed to provide the widest possible cover to insured’s who required coverage for equipment used within their premises and also small portable items such as cameras, laptop etc used beyond the insured’s premises. This policy is also meant to cover valuables belonging to individuals. Coverage includes fire, theft or other misfortune subject to certain policy exclusions

Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy
The Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy of ACPG General Insurance aims at covering a range of electronic equipment, from personal computers to hi-tech gadgets. The scope of the Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy coverage is divided into three sections and has certain exclusions per section.

Section I: The Electronic Equipment Insurance policy of ACPG General Insurance covers physical damage or loss of electronic equipment.

Policy exclusions in this section of the Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy are as follows:

Pre-existing defects of the item insured.
Erosive actions, everyday wear and tear of the items insured.
Loss, damage of glass, ceramics, and porcelain items.
Scratches on painted, enameled and polished surfaces.
Incurred costs due to the maintenance of insured items.

Section II: The Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy of ACPG General Insurance covers costs incurred for reconstruction and re-recording of information and external data media.

Policy exclusions in this section include false programming costs, and information loss due to magnetic fields.

Section III: of the Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy covers increased Cost of Working.

Policy exclusions under this section include incurred costs for replacement and regeneration of data.

Besides the sectional exclusions of this Electronic Equipment Insurance Policy by ACPG General Insurance, the other general exclusions to this Electronic equipment Policy coverage are damages or loss of insured items due to acts of terrorism, war risks, negligence, faulty design, partial / total cessation of work , defective material , consequential losses, contractual liabilities, property loss or damage which falls under the Maintenance Agreement terms, direct damage of item by aerial devices and gradual deterioration of items insured due to atmospheric conditions.

PLATE GLASS INSURANCE
(Please read this Product Disclosure Sheet before you decide to take out a Plate Glass Insurance Policy. Be sure to also read the general terms and conditions stated in the policy).
 
1. What is this product about?
This policy provides you with coverage on "All Risks” basis for all types of plate glass mounted or fixed on
windows and doors including glass structures such as showrooms, offices, buildings, etc. against breakage unless specifically excluded in the policy.

2. What are the covers / benefits provided?
This policy covers damage/breakage to any glass broken by fracture extending through the entire thickness of the glass due to accident or misfortune not otherwise excluded in the policy.
Duration of cover is One year. You need to renew your insurance policy annually.
 
3. How much premium do I have to pay?
The total premium that you have to pay may vary depending on the Sum Insured, the risk exposure and the underwriting requirements of the company:

4. What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?
Some of the key terms and conditions that you should be aware of are:
• Duty of disclosure - you must give all the facts in your application form fully and faithfully otherwise your policy may be void.
• Change in Risk - you must inform the company or your agent in writing on any material changes during the policy period so that the necessary amendments are endorsed into your policy.
• Duty of Assured - you shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard against any damage/breakage to the glass
• All glass insured in the policy shall be deemed to be plain and of ordinary glassing quality with no painting, embossing, silvering, bending, or containing any lettering or ornamental work of any kind, unless such information has been declared and expressly stated in the policy.
• You must ensure that your plate glass are insured at the appropriate amount, either on:
a) Market value basis – we will pay the full cost of repairing the damaged glass less the amount for wear, tear and depreciation.
b) Replacement value basis – we will reinstate, repair or replace the loss or damaged glass without any
deductions being made for wear, tear or depreciation provided that the sum insured is adequate to cover
the total cost of replacing the glass
• Underinsurance – you must ensure that the sum insured is adequate, otherwise, average condition will apply for under insurance at the time of loss. You will deemed to be self-insuring for the difference.
• Excess - is the amount of loss that you have to bear in event of a claim.
 
5. What are the major exclusions under this policy?
This policy does not cover certain losses, such as:
a) Loss or damage caused by or arising from
• disfiguration and scratches on the glass
• cracks on glass of which the Company have not been notified in writing
• during transit to or while being affixed to or removed from or during the course of alterations on the Assured’s premises.
• fire, lightning, earthquake and explosion
• war, invasion, civil war, rebellion, revolution, riot or civil commotion
• willful act, procurement, connivance, assistance in any way whatsoever by the Assured’s household or
business staff

6. Can I cancel my policy and how do I cancel it?
You may cancel your policy at anytime by giving written notice to our company in which case we shall retain the customary short period rate for the time the policy has been in force. Upon cancellation, you are entitled to a refund premium subject to the minimum premium to be retained by the company. No refund of premium will be allowed if there is a claim under the policy.
 
7. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact details?
It is important that you inform us of any changes to your contact details. This is to ensure that all the
correspondence will reach you in a timely manner.
