What is No Claim Discount (NCD)?

The No Claim Discount (NCD) is a reward scheme received by motor policy holders for not making a claim during the preceding 12 months.


How much of No Claim Discount (NCD) am I entitled to?

Consumers are eligible for NCD ranging from 0% to 55% of the premium payable depending on the type of vehicle, coverage and number of years claim not intimated. For a private car, the scale of NCD ranges from 0% to 55% as provided in the policy/certificate whereas for motorcycles and commercial vehicles, it ranges from 0% to 25%.

FIDELITY INSURANCE

Introduction

Fidelity Guarantee Insurance is designed to indemnify the insured against loss as a result of dishonesty of persons holding position of trust.

In a business organization, certain position demand a very high level of honesty and trust. The daily duties of the employees in these positions would bring them into contact with cash or goods that can be converted into cash.

A business organization would like to have some form of protection against any loss should their employees abuse their position of trust. Fidelity Guarantee Insurance is therefore most ideal form of insurance to protect the company’s interest.

Scope of cover
This insurance covers direct pecuniary loss as the insured shall sustain by any act of fraud of dishonesty committed by any insured employee.
The loss must be sustained
In connection with the insured employees employment and duties
During the period of guarantee and renewal thereof
During the uninterrupted employment of such employee
And discovered during the period of guarantee or within six months
thereafter.

Fidelity Guarantee Insurance Policy
will indemnify employers against direct loss of money or other property resulting from acts of fraud or dishonesty committed by their employees. 

However, there are exceptions: - 
The Policy does not cover: - 
(a)...
Losses discovered more than 6 months or more after the expiry of the Policy or the termination of the service of the employee concerned, 
(b) Defaults of an employee occurring after previous acts of dishonesty by the same employee have been discovered or suspected, 
(c) Losses occurring after there has been a change in the system of Supervision and check exercised over the employees and their accounts which has not received the Company's prior approval, 
(d) Cash or stock shortages not caused by fraud or dishonesty or trading losses, which cannot be accounted for. 

Basis of insurance
 
Named Employees identified by name can be guaranteed for a specified amount each or a single sum Employees covering two or more employees. 
Unnamed Employees may be identified in groups according to their category of employment. 

Employees You may include all of your employees with a single overall limit of guarantee (referred to in the proposal as the 'blanket' basis) or you can guarantee employees in specified categories only with a separate amount of guarantee applying to each category (the 'positions' basis.
 

ALL of the employees in a defined category are to be covered and the employer is required to provide an estimate of the MAXIMUM number of employees in each category that he expects to be working at any one time during the period of insurance.
 

At renewal the employer must provider details of the actual MAXIMUM number of employees in each category during the previous period of insurance.
 
Premiums Premiums vary according to the nature of the business, the nature of the employee's duties and the amount of the guarantee. A quotation will be given on receipt of a completed form.

References The Policy is issued usually on the basis that the employer takes up references before engaging new staff. In certain circumstances the Company may perform this service for a fee.
 

 

Fidelity Guarantee Insurance Policy

In every business the most important asset is the employees without which the company cannot function. These employees are selected through an interview process that lasts for a short while and so it is not possible for the employer to know the person very well. People look for jobs in order to make money and sometimes these people could go to the extent of embezzlement, robbery or even fraud to get that money.

ACPG General Insurance is aware of this issue and so has come up with the Fidelity Guarantee insurance policy to protect the business from such atrocities. By purchasing the Fidelity Guarantee insurance of ACPG General Insurance the client places his business under their protection so that all the damages caused due to dishonest means of the employees are borne by them.

The Fidelity Guarantee insurance policy of ACPG General Insurance pays the actual loss due to the employees’ infidelity to a specified limit and does not pay more than one claim per employee. There are a number of policies for the client to choose from. Depending on his requirement he can opt for an individual policy which covers only an individual or a collective policy that will cover his entire staff. There are also floater and position policies according to the requirement.

ACPG General Insurance does not bear the expenses of losses incurred due to the infidelity of one employee for the second time nor does it pay if facts are not clearly stated. The document should be carefully read before signing.


MONEY INSURANCE

Introduction
Money insurance policy is designed to indemnify the insured in the
event of money being stolen or robbed either from the insured’s business
premises, or whilst is being carried to or from the bank
The loss of money will have any impact on any organization,
regardless whether it is a big organization or a small organization. It
is therefore extremely important for a money insurance to be effected to
protect the movement from / to the insured’s premises


Scope of cover
The money insurance policy basically cover the following :-

Money in transit
Loss of money whilst in transit from the insured’s premises to bank and vice versa whilst accompanied by the insured’s authorized employees.

In respect of coverage insurance for salaries/wages, this continues until the monies insured are fully paid out to the insured’s employees.
 
Money in premises
Loss of money whilst the money is kept in a locked safe or strong
room in insured premises by forcible and violent entry upon the
insured’s premises as a result of robbery hold up whilst in the
premises.
If cover is required for the money kept in locked drawers, cabinets,
cash register etc it is important for these to be specifically stated
in the proposal form.
Safe / strong room
Damage to the safe/strong room following forcible and violent entry upon the premises or as a result of a robbery or is covered.

Money Insurance Policy
Money is the most important thing in the world today. People would go to any extent to acquire some of it even if they haven’t earned it.
ACPG General Insurance is aware of the different dangers posed at money just as well as everyone else is. Keeping these dangers in mind the company has devised a policy called Money Insurance to insure liquid cash against the many threats to it.

The Money Insurance policy of ACPG General Insurance covers not just liquid cash but also bank drafts, treasury notes, currency notes, postal orders, money orders and postage stamps.
 
 
The policy offers the client security in case of a theft of money while it is in transit, but that is only if the transition is being made by the insured or one of his authorized employees, the names of who are mentioned in the agreement document of the policy.
 
 
If a claim is made on an unnamed employee the policy can refuse the money unless the client insures the unnamed employees as well, which can be done for a small additional premium.
 
 
It also insures money stolen from the premises of the insured, be it from his safe or office or even the teller machine.

The Money Insurance policy cannot be claimed in case of loss of money due to fraudulent measures adopted by the insured or his employees or if it is stolen due to their carelessness.
 
ACPG General Insurance will not bear expenses for lost money that was not kept in a safe place.
